January 4-7, 2010

We talked about our new year 2010 and our new month (that just happens to start with J) January.

We reviewed   with the letter Jj and the number 10. 

We continued working with the sight word at this week.  We made a sentence using the at words Cat sat…… the kids had a fun time telling the group where cat sat.  We also talked about rhyming words.

This week we learned about weather.  We talked about who tells us about weather-a meteorologist.  We discussed what a rain gauge and thermometer are used to measure.

We had a fun time reading It Looked like Spilt Milk and making our own cloud pictures.   

We also read Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and made cloud pictures with food raining down (Cheerios or pretzels)

We continue learning the days of the week, months of the year. 

We will be attending Sea World on February 11.  I am waiting to hear from Mary Pillmear on the details for the cost.  Please put this on your calendar we would love to have parents join us.
