Hi Parents!
Sadly our school year is
coming to a close but we
are still having fun in
our last couple of
weeks!
This week we met our
last letter puppet, Miss
Y. We continued to talk
about the outdoors. We
brainstormed all of the
items we need to go
fishing. We continued to
talk about camping and
what we will need to set
up our campsite. We read
“Down By the Bay” and
“Wake Up Sleepy Bear.”
Our letter helper Liam
showed us how he
decorated his upper and
lowercase Y’s. We also
read Miss Y’s big book.
We mixed different
colors of paint to make
new colors and decorated
a letter Y using yarn.
We went fishing on the
porch in the sensory
table. We sorted colored
bears. We played with
the Potato Heads. We
also made an adorable
fish using our
handprint. All of
these activities help us
develop our small motor
muscles which is
important for early
writing.
To help us develop our
gross motor skills we
had WATER DAY!! We ran
through sprinklers. We
slid down the slippery
slides. We also danced
to Miss Y’s song.
In music Ms. Audra sang
and danced with us to
all of our favorite
songs throughout the
year. What a fun music
class we had! Thank you
Miss Audra we love you!
Our Ice Cream Social was
a huge success. It was
so nice to see all of
the children with their
families socializing and
enjoying the yummy ice
cream from Kilwin’s. Our
memory book came out
fabulous. Thank you so
much to Deedra (Alyssa’s
mommy) and Elise
(Ethan’s mommy) for
putting it all together
for us.
Our field trip to DeLeon
Springs was so fun. The
children all had a
wonderful time with
their friends. We rode
the boat AND saw 2
alligators! We also made
our own pancakes. We are
so thankful the weather
was beautiful for us.
Thank you to all of the
chaperones, we couldn’t
have done it without
you!
Have a wonderful
weekend!
Love,
Miss Colleen and Miss
Lori J
